Alternative Movement Club EIK
Founded in 2016 in Vilnius, the Alternative Movement Club EIK (formerly Active Engagement Center “Eik”) brings together a community of people with mobility disabilities and their families. We’re a dedicated team working to support their physical and emotional well-being, mutual connection, and self-expression through physical activity, creative experiences, and educational programs.
Our mission
To empower people with disabilities to live full, dignified lives — with equal rights and opportunities to actively participate in society, not only in Vilnius, but across Lithuania and the EU.
Nominations
In 2022, our efforts to include people from Ukraine in our activities were recognized with a nomination in the “Quality Contest” organized by the Education Exchange Support Foundation.
In 2023, we were honored as a “Fair Play Organization”.
And in 2024, taking our services for children with mobility disabilities to the next level, we proudly joined the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD). This membership connects us with organisations, families, medical professionals, and researchers across Europe — a powerful network of solidarity and knowledge that we bring back home to support families in Lithuania.
